Comprehensive
Price: 0.02 per word

This package includes two full rounds of content and developmental edits, as well as line edits performed by a third party. We will focus on everything from story and structure, characterization, and pacing, to sentence structure, word choice, and grammar.

Content Hard
Price: 0.015 per word

This package includes two full rounds of content and developmental edits. We will focus on everything from story and structure to characterization and pacing. While I will watch for and correct line errors, this package does not include line edits.

Content Lite
Price: 0.01 per word

This package includes one full round of content and developmental edits. We will focus on everything from story and structure to characterization and pacing. While I will watch for and correct line errors, this package does not include line edits.

Line Edits
Price: 0.006 per word

This package includes one full round of line edits. We will focus on sentence structure, overused words and phrases, errors in stage direction, awkward/clunky wording, dialogue, narrative digressions, and other issues along these lines. While I will watch for and correct grammar, spelling errors, and typos, this package does not include copy edits or proofreading.

SPECIALTY PROJECTS

Projects outside of Holly’s purview — nonfiction, poetry, self-help, etc. — will be considered on a case-by-case basis at rates to be negotiated per project.

PAYMENT TERMS

New clients may be subject to a deposit of up to 50% of the projected total. Payment is due prior to receiving the final round of edits.

Payments are accepted exclusively through PayPal. Client assumes responsibility for PayPal fees, which are added to each invoice.

PLEASE NOTE: Evil Eye Editing makes no guarantees and assumes no liability regarding the profitability, popularity, or royalty earnings of any client work. Professional editing is in keeping with best practices for a book’s success, but it is not the only factor.
